About

About Miles On Money

Plain-English UK money, and the numbers behind everyday decisions.

Who it's for

Anyone in the UK making an everyday money decision: whether to rent or buy, where to keep savings, whether a switching bonus is worth it. No jargon, no hype, and every assumption written down so you can change it.

The site goes with the Miles On Money YouTube channel. The rent or buy calculator runs the same model as the channel's rent vs buy video, so you can put your own numbers in.

How the rates are chosen and checked

The tables show top rates, sorted by rate. They aren't recommendations, and the account at the top isn't necessarily the right one for you.

General information, not financial advice

Everything on this site is general information. It doesn't take your circumstances into account and it isn't financial advice. Rates change often, so always check the provider's page before you apply. If you need advice for your situation, speak to a regulated financial adviser.

Eligible deposits with UK banks, building societies and credit unions are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £120,000 per person per banking licence. Some brands share a licence, so the limit covers them together.
